Texting Individual Contacts

Once you purchase your custom texting phone number, you can text any individual
contact with at least one mobile number on their contact profile.

To text an individual contact:

1. Open the contact profile.
2. Click the Text Contact icon next to the mobile number you want to send a
   message to.
   Note For contact-specific tasks and appointments, the Text Contact icon is
            also available in the contact details area of the task or appointment page.
3. Enter your message in the area at the bottom of the popup.
   Note A text segment is up to 160 characters and each segment requires 1
            available text. As you type your text message, the indicator below tells
            you how many characters you have entered, and how many text
            segments are required. If your text message exceeds 160 characters,
            you will require more than 1 available text. If you do not have enough
            available texts to send your message, you can click Purchase Texts
            to buy more (see Purchasing More Texts).
   Note If you text a main contact mobile number, and the spouse/partner also
            has a mobile number, you can opt to send the message to both
            numbers by selecting the Text Partner/Spouse option. Note that this
            will double the number of required available texts to send your
            message.
4. If you want to include a picture with your message, click the Attach Picture
   icon to the left of your message, and select the picture file from your
   computer.
   Note The maximum picture file size is 2MB.
   Note Messages that include a picture require 2 additional texting credits.
5. When you are ready to send your text, click Send.

The area above the message box displays your texting "conversation" with the
contact much like you see on your mobile phone.

A record of each outbound text message is also recorded in your contact’s Contact
History. If you opt to text both the main contact and spouse/partner, separate
